Clearing Browser's Cache Memory

Clearing Cache on Google Chrome

  1. Close all browsers.
  2. Open Google Chrome.
  3. Click the Chrome Tools Icon icon on the menu.
  4. Select Options.
  5. Click the Under the Hood tab.
  6. Click the Clear browsing data... button.
  7. Click to check the Empty the cache box.
  8. Click the Clear browsing data button.
  9. Click the Close button.
  10. Close and reopen the browser.


Clearing Cache on Safari 5.0 for Macintosh

  1. Close all browsers.
  2. Open Safari.
  3. Go to a non-LexisNexis webpage.
  4. Click the Safari menu and select Reset Safari.
  5. Click to check the box Empty the Cache.
  6. Click Reset.
  7. Close and reopen the browser

Clearing Cache on AOL 9.0

  1. Close all browsers.
  2. Click Start, select Settings and Control Panel.
  3. Double-click Internet Options.
  4. Click Delete Files.
  5. Click OK on the Delete Files dialog box.
  6. Click OK.

Clearing Cache on Netscape® Navigator 9.X

  1. Close all browsers.
  2. Open Netscape Navigator.
  3. Go to a non-LexisNexis Web page.
  4. Click Tools on the menu bar and select Options.
  5. Click Privacy.
  6. Click Clear Now under Clear Private Data.
  7. Click to check the box Clear Cache.
  8. Click Clear data now.
  9. Click OK.
  10. Close and reopen the browser.

Clearing Cache on Firefox 3.5

  1. Close all browsers.
  2. Open Firefox.
  3. Click Tools on the menu bar and select Clear Recent History.
  4. Select Everything from the Time range to clear drop-down list.
  5. Click the down arrow next to Details.
  6. Click to check the box Cache.
    NOTE: Make sure to check Cache only.
  7. Click Clear Now.
  8. Click OK.
  9. Close and reopen the browser.

Clearing Cache on Microsoft® Internet Explorer 8.0

  1. Close all browsers.
  2. Open Internet Explorer.
  3. Click Tools on the menu bar and select Internet Options.
  4. Click Delete under Browsing History.
  5. Uncheck every box except for Temporary Internet Files in the Delete Browsing History window.
  6. Click Delete.
  7. Click OK.
  8. Click OK.
  9. Close and reopen the browser.

Clearing Cache on a BlackBerry Handheld

Clearing the content caches clears both the rendered pages and server data:
  1. Highlight the Browser icon and click the trackwheel.
  2. Click the trackwheel again to display the Browser Options menu.
  3. Scroll down to Options and click the trackwheel to open the Browser Options screen.
  4. Scroll down to General Properties and click the trackwheel to open the General Properties screen.
  5. Click the trackwheel to open the Cache menu.
  6. Scroll down to Clear Content Caches and click the trackwheel to clear the cache and return to the General Properties screen.
  7. Press Escape to page back to the main menu.
